save your money

It works: a flashlight would have done just as well. Works ok for lighter coloured eggs. Marans, forget it, but they have a tendency to be problematic because of the color. It could be brighter.

Hand held candler

This works great and you can change the bulb, unlike the LED one I had, WIN! The only thing I'd change about it is to add an on/off button, the bulb does get very warm.
