Multi-Use Steam Canner - Stainless Steel

I really like this new stainless steel canner/steamer. I love being able to see inside the pot! I'm glad to retire my old enamel canning pots. The only disappointment with this canner is that it will NOT take 7 wide mouth liter jars if you use the "jar lifter insert" when water bath canning. It will take 6 regular mouth and 1 wide mouth litre jar. I'll have to use a tea towel instead of that "lifter" in order to fit 7 wide mouth liter jars. Maybe our Bernardin wide mouth jars are wider here in Canada??

This canner is such an improvement over the cheap-o enamelled pot I used to use. There is lots of space above the jars so there’s no boil-over. The thermometer on the lid to tell you when to start the timer (returned to a FULL BOIL) is so helpful. It makes me realize I was starting my timer too early with my last pot and may not have Ben properly processing my jars.

So happy I invested in the canner! Good quality. Saves time and water.

I purchased the Harvest multi-use canner with the intent to use the steam canning function. It's such a great alternative to the traditional water bath; instructions on how to use it are clear and 3 quarts of water for each batch of canning heats up so much faster - not to mention lifting the pan off of the stove when finished so much easier. I wish I'd had this before!
The service from Berry Hill was outstanding; I had my order the next day, in time for the next batch of week-end canning. Fantastic.
If you're on the fence, go for it - it's a game-changer in your canning routine.
